Kirsty has kids and also a busy career so being consistent with her fitness goals didn't come easy due to her lifestyle.
Last year in October, Kirsty decided to go all in and make some major changes to her lifestyle. We started with her diet as she was already training quite hard and just needed to make some changes to eating and habits towards alcohol. The main aim for nutrition was to keep it manageable, giving Kirsty the flexibility to adjust her day according to her family and work commitments. No silly diets or banning certain foods!🍩🍸🍷
So to do this we used a macro based approach, making protein the priority and keeping calories relatively high throughout. Kirsty did an amazing job sticking to her nutrition and training and used our free weight loss Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/lift365) as motivation to keep pushing when Christmas was fast approaching and the parties were coming in thick and fast. All she did was plan ahead for the day and kept the majority of her calories for the evening when she would be at social events. This means she was eating carbs after 6pm😜, which is perfectly fine!
In terms of training, Kirsty did 2 x 30 minute weight training sessions with us and some extra classes when she could fit them in. By Christmas she had hit her main goal and target weight for the New year. 🏋🏾
In between October and New year she had lost 15 pounds and 5.5 inches around her belly button and in total from the 4 measurement sites she lost 15.5 inches. She totally smashed it!
The great thing about Kirsty was she worked very hard in training and had a great attitude towards making her macros work for her. She also never felt that she was missing out on anything in terms of food and drink. What had changed? She had become more mindful towards her food and drink. We also saved Kirsty a lot of money because she loves a magic pill and a new diet book 😜
Kirsty has a great work ethic and attitude towards change (you need to change existing habits to make a change, which is what most people don’t always realise). she has done amazingly well in balancing her family life, career and health.
She is a total inspiration to working mums who want to get in shape and it just goes to show that a little bit of planning and creating a manageable goal will get you the results you want.
